John Quincy Adams accomplished many things during his life, and he changed our nation as we know it. He gained land, kept away countries that were more likely to invade, and fought to end slavery and diminish racism towards Native Americans. He had a fighting spirit to do what was right for the country, and though he was infamous for cheating his way into presidency he tried his best to truly benefit America. His legacy leaves behind lawful and powerful acts that enabled the United States into a smooth transition of truly becoming a nation.
