John Quincy Adams worked extremely hard in the House to diminish circumscription of civil liberties. He fought to diminish slavery and give many rights and freedoms to Americans. He also fought for fairer treatment of Native Americans. He believed the slavery was"unjust"(JQA:Encyclopedia of Presidents).
